Bear Lake Meyer Reunion

Another fun week at the lake has come and gone. We anticipate this week so much and then it's gone that quick. I guess that's because we are having somuch fun and we are so busy.

2010 Bear Lake Highlights.

1. Everyone in our family was able to make it. Even Spence and Laura came from Gillette, Cole and Mindy and the kids drove down from Denver and it was so fun to be able to spend time with everyone. Dad came a few nights and Kade was working in Randolph so he was able to come for dinner most nights.

2. Blake and Elisa bought a new boat with a way fun tube that looks and rides like a couch. It's a blast until Blake tries to drive you under the water.

3. Mike bought a floatie that holds about 15 people and comes equipped with back rests, drink holders and a kiddie pool. We all lounged on it for a couple hours a day.

4. Playing volleyball, kickball, mini-golf and playing apples to apples at nightafter a great meal and there were new slides put in the pools at ideal beach resot.

5. Spencer brided Camry, Jaiden, Taylor and Kylie with ice cream if they would go out and push me off the floatie that I was tanning on and in to the water. I told them that if they would let me tan for 10 minutes that when he wasn't looking I would nicely roll off the floatie and into the water....and I get a bite of their ice cream. They didn't tell him the 2nd bribe until they wee happily eating their ice cream. I guess we got him.

6. One night really late Tara heard something outside our condo sliding glass door so she peeked out and there was a baby skunk trying to get treats out of the stroller pouch. We didn't know whether we should shut the door or risk getting sprayed. That was the night we didn't go to sleep until about 5 am.

7. Jet skiis. Need I say more. Me and the girls could spend hours out in the lake on the jet skiis.

8. Probably the best highlight of the week was riding around the lake on our bikes. We rode 53 miles. It was beautiful, but I about died on the last stretch. (see next post)

9. On the last mile of our ride coming around the corner we could hear cheering. As we got closer mom had a made a sign for the M Team. (Meyer team). All the kids and family had come up from the beach to cheer us on. It definitely made it all worth while.

10. Raspberry shake before we head home for the weekend.

4th of July

4th of July parade in Lewiston.. hanging out with our cousins.

We went to the Logan Fireworks, the Cache Vally Cruise Inn, 2 neighborrhood firework displays and their favorite thing is still the sparklers.
Happy 4th of July!

Camping

CAMPING...so the girls and I decided to go camping. To be safe we went in the picnic area below grandma and grandpa's house. It was perfect. A running stream to put our drinks to get cold, a fire pit, a grill, lots of firewood and plenty of shade..... oh and a real bathroom about 50 yards away. We had a blast . Before we could even set up the tent we had to watch a World Cup Soccer Game. The last game for the U.S. then I promised the kids no more electronics, just real camping. So we set up our tent, threw our drinks in the creek and made tinfoil dinners. We had lots of visitors when we started cooking smores.
The next morning we went on a huge hike that ended up being 5-6 miles. We were hiking up in the mountains looking for the spring. The girls were troopers and didn't want to stop. Camry saw our first snake and squealed. I told her if she see's another one to just back away slowly and try not to scream. About 5 minutes later....guess who was screaming and running....ME! They had a great laugh. Later that night the girls were picking up sticks for our fire and came across a huge snake and a weasel.

Later that day we rode the 4 wheeler, the girls played in the creek while I relaxed and then we had a hotdog roast that evening, topped off with more smores and more company. Fun times!!
Chillin out by the fire.
This was a picture taken on our hike. The little house below is where we started.

Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons at the Sports Academy. The girls are doing great in their lessons. Jaiden is ready for pre-team and Camry isn't far behind. We love to stay and swim for the day with cousins and friends.
