Fixing the Creek
Over the last couple of years the creek behind our home has started to wash away with the high water levels. Lucky for me I have the greatest friends, family, Home Teachers and neighbors who donated their time to help me secure the bank so this fall we won't have a flood. There were people from our neighborhood who I didn't even know who showed up to help. Thanks so much everyone!

Danny McFarlane loading the sandbags in the creek

Randy Eck, loading sandbags. Randy also spearheaded this project with Danny and my dad.
Scott Haueter and neighbors loading sandbags.

Jaiden and Cam made sure there were donuts and juice on hand.

This is my dad right in the middle of the creek loading sandbags.
Part 2 of this process involved getting a crane and these cement blocks. Dad stood on one side of the creek and signaled to the crane driver while Danny and Randy were on the other side droppping in the barriers.

That makes me really miss the neighborhood. I love how everyone works together and takes care of each other. I miss that and all of you!
Holy cow Erica! That is a huge project! I am so glad you got it all taken care of. We wish we could have been there to help. You look great!
