It was about this time last year that we had four fires burning at the same time right on the mountain behind our house. I actually took these photos from our back yard. Most of them were started by lightening. The entire neighborhood was outvisiting and keeping a close eye on them all night while we talked about "what if". It makes you really start to think about what you need to take with you and what is really important. Anyway I was just thinking about that and thought I would share these. I'm glad that was last year.

i remember keeping an eye on the fires from my bedroom window. its hard to sleep with a fire that close to your home!
What a wild memory that we'll never forget. Great pictures. I might have to get a copy. I wasn't as into scrapbooking/blogging last year, so I didn't even think to take a picture, but my kids talk about it all the time. I love how you arranged the pictures.
I remember hearing about that. I'm glad that was last year too!
